We had a bit of a water tank disaster when we discovered our concrete tank had a major leak (after getting 10,000 litres put in it).
We were very lucky (at short notice) to get help from Andrew Younger with his superb digger skills to demo and remove our old tank and place in the new plastic one. He even sorted a plumber to hook it up on the same day.

I am an Architect who has worked in a few countries involved in projects like airports, hospitals and resorts , by far Andrew is the best contractor I have had the pleasure to work with. In Waimate North, he turned a hill into a great platform taking into consideration water flow and the environment. I do not hesitate to recommend Andrew to anyone. He is a professional that takes his job seriously and has a innate understanding of soil mechanics.

We were fortunate Andrew was recommended to us as newbies to the area. We were impressed that he turned up when he said he would. Andrew spent a lot of time explaining to us what the best course of action he thought we should take in the remedial work to our drainage (3 areas) and levelling / bevelling our long driveway and parking area. This advice was done without him knowing he had got the job. The estimation came in quickly and Andrew rang to reassure us this would probably be on the high side and the final account would be lower than estimated – which it was . He booked a date to commence the project and was able to start earlier which was fortunate for us due to the forecast of adverse weather. The drainage proved 100% effective and we are enjoying the driveway without the large potholes. His pleasant, easy going and practical manner was appreciated and nothing was too much trouble. We were so impressed we are hoping to use Andrew for our next project and recommend him wholeheartedly.

In regard to the demolition of the old Seabeds Motel, this email is to say how impressed I was with not only the speed at which the work was completed – one week – but how much I appreciated the contractor, Andrew Younger dropping by each day and letting me know what to expect the next day and what time they would start and finish. This allowed me to advise guests when first making their bookings, and to reassure them about the next days work.
During the week of this work there were some high winds, but the contractor brought his own water and dampened down as much as he could to lessen the amount of dust blowing in on us. This considerate action was very much appreciated.
Not only did the work impact us much less than dreaded, but actually the guests were fascinated watching the whole, very skillful process. The site has been left neat and tidy and that is a a huge relief to us too.

Andrew wields his digger as if it were his third hand; he cheerfully has used this skill for us over recent years landscaping and building rock walls on our property, with a real flair and vision as to what suits visually and practically. All this, and more often than not, comes in under budget – what more can you ask?!

Andrew has done a wide variety of work for us over the last 3 years. This includes drainage work, retaining walls, swimming pool excavations, roading, landscaping and water feature enhancement. He is very willing and very capable and goes to great lengths to complete each job with economy, speed and finesse. We have recommended him to several neighbours and they have been equally impressed with the standard of his work and his helpful advice.
